Getting to Tampin Bus Terminal from Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Railway Station

Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Railway Station and Tampin Bus Terminal is around 1km apart. If you’re a first-timer to Tampin, you might be intimidated by all the shophouses that look the same as you walk. Luckily, the actual walk is rather straightforward with minimal turns at junctions.

If you are travelling onwards to Gemas or Melaka City by bus, or other destinations as listed in my KTM Komuter Melaka-Johor Missing Link guide, you will need to take this walk.

Here’s a map and a pictorial guide to help you along.

Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Railway Station to Tampin Bus Terminal

Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Railway Station is the new southern terminus of the KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector.

Turn right as you exit the station building.

Walk under the shelter along the car park.

Exit the station compound.

Continue straight.

As you reach this junction with the station sign, turn left.

You will see a Caltex and Shell petrol station in front of you. Go straight between these two petrol stations and continue walking straight along the rows of shophouses.

If you somehow can’t see the petrol station, a gigantic Mydin will be on your right. Do NOT walk along the road where you will walk past the front of this Mydin.

Go straight until you see this junction.

At this junction, turn left.

When you turn left, you should see this view with the “Jalan Perhentian Bas” road sign.

The bus terminal is just ahead.

You have arrived at Tampin Bus Terminal.

Tampin Bus Terminal to Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Railway Station

From Tampin Bus Terminal to Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Railway Station, the reverse of the above route works.

Upon exiting the terminal facing front (as how the buses are facing), turn left.

You will meet this T-junction. Turn right at this junction and continue walking straight along the shophouses.

When you pass the two petrol stations, you will see this junction. Go straight and turn right when you see the blue KTM station sign.

Continue straight.

Enter the station compound.

Walk under the shelter to the station building.

You have arrived at Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Railway Station.

The walk is about 1 kilometer and takes around 10 to 15 minutes. If it sounds too tiring for you, get a taxi and discuss a reasonable fare with the driver.

  1. The walk between the Railway Station and Bus Terminal will bring you across the state border of Malacca and Negri Sembilan. Years back there was a state border sign. Nowadays all I can find is a sign by Alor Gajah Municipal Council (MPAG) informing you that you have entered their jurisdiction (presumably for parking coupon purposes).
