After some light shopping at Big C Extra Hatyai 2, I headed on to Hat Yai City Municipality Park to go check out the Hat Yai Cable Car. From Big C Extra Hatyai 2, I got on the Hat Yai White Songthaew Category 1 Route 4 with assistance from a kind local passenger who helped me find the right way in English.
Departing from Big C Extra Hatyai 2.
Turning left at Ko Hong Junction on the road towards Songkhla.
The road here is rather straight with houses and shops at the side throughout.
Approaching Hat Yai City Municipality Park.
The fellow passenger who helped me spoke great English as he mentioned that he worked in KL for 5 years before. As he alighted at his stop, he told the Songthaew driver where I needed to go and to drop me off there. To the kind passenger who helped me, if you see this, thank you once again. I couldn’t have got on the right Songthaew without your help (as the driver mentioned he didn’t go here probably due to a poor direction I gave on my part).
The interior of the Songthaew.
I was checking my journey on Google Maps anyway, and pressed the buzzer when the Hat Yai White Songthaew Category 1 Route 4 was approaching the entrance to Hat Yai City Municipality Park.
Alighting from the Hat Yai White Songthaew Category 1 Route 4 opposite Hat Yai City Municipality Park.
After alighting from the rear, head to the front window to pay the Songthaew driver. The Songthaew fare within Hat Yai city costs 10 Baht.
Hat Yai White Songthaew Category 1 Route 4 is an out-of-town Songthaew route, serving the Ban Noen Phichai – Tha Kham Subdistrict Administration Organization route via Phet Kasem Road Hat Yai and Kanjanavanich Road.
The Hat Yai White Songthaew Category 1 Route 4 continues on to Tha Kham Subdistrict Administration Organization after dropping me off at the junction. Here, I crossed the road to enter Hat Yai City Municipality Park for my Hat Yai Cable Car ride.
