Travelling by bus in Malaysia is safe and economical. Frequent express coaches link KL Sentral with Kuala Lumpur International Airport, both KLIA and klia2, and Resorts World Genting (Genting Highlands). Getting to the coach stand at KL Sentral is a little tricky as the main path is slightly hidden, but it’s actually a pretty straight route to follow.
The coach stand is located on the ground floor of KL Sentral. For reference, KTM Intercity is at Level 2, while KTM Komuter, Kelana Jaya Line and KLIA Transit and Ekspres is at Level 1. To access the coach stand, use the exit beside the KLIA Transit counters, behind the escalators to Nu Sentral shopping mall.
Upon exiting the door, there is a down escalator on your right. There is also an elevator beside it, hidden from picture.
The coach stand is where the escalator ends.
The buses to klia2 alternate between Skybus and Aerobus. As a guide, take the bus in front – it departs first. Follow the cues of the shouting staff in red or yellow uniforms. You may be taken aback by the shouting, but they will not sell you illegal tickets or force you onboard their buses, they only sell tickets for the next departing bus, so don’t worry.
The bus to KLIA Main Terminal Building is operated by Airport Coach. The bus will be parked behind the klia2 buses. If the bus is not there yet, there is a sign saying “KLIA1 (sic)” where the bus will stop.
The bus to Resorts World Genting (Genting Highlands) will be behind all the airport buses. It is operated under Resorts World Genting.
