Klook has a bunch of discounted tickets on public transport around Thailand along with WiFi and SIM cards, so I opted to purchase my travelling items from them for this Thailand trip. As I was starting my trip from within the city rather than the airport, I opted to go for their convenient Siam Center Pick Up to collect my tickets.
Siam Centre is located right in the middle of downtown Bangkok, just outside of Siam BTS Station. It’s alongside other familiar shopping malls such as Siam Paragon, Siam Square One and Siam Discovery, and a short Skybridge walk away from Central World and MBK.
Siam Center’s address is at 979 Rama 1 Road, Pathumwan Bangkok 10330, Thailand, in case you’re using a GPS to get there. If you are getting there by BTS, you can exit from Siam BTS Station from Exit 1 or Exit 3.
Klook‘s counter is located at Siam Center M Floor, next to an escalator (besides Etude House). It is easily seen when accessing Siam Center M Floor from the BTS station or Siam Paragon. The Siam Center Pick Up counter opening hours are from 10:00am to 10:00pm daily unless otherwise indicated.
I presented my vouchers to the Klook staff at the counter with the Klook app. After a scan of my QR codes, I received my purchased items.
I bought 3 Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) One Day Passes for my 3 days in Bangkok. The Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) One Day Passes from Klook
are 25 Baht cheaper at just 115 Baht (~S$4.93), as compared to the over-the-counter price at BTS stations at 140 Baht.
Instead of the actual cards, I received a paper voucher to exchange for the card at the BTS station. Do note to only change the voucher on the desired date of travel, as the card, when activated and given to you, is valid for that one day only.
You can also purchase a BTS Skytrain Rabbit Card which works like a regular top-up travel card if you’re in Bangkok for a longer period of time and do not require much rides each day. If you are there just for a short holiday, I recommend the Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) One Day Pass
just so that you need not think so much about the fares, residual value in the Rabbit Card and you can skip the queues for the single trip tickets each time you want to take the BTS.
I also bought 2 Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link (ARL) Tickets for a return journey on the Airport Rail Link City Line to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport. While the Klook price of 40 Baht (~S$1.72) each is just a minimal saving of 5 Baht, I bought it anyway since I was picking up my Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) One Day Pass
from the same counter, not that I made a special detour for it.
You may also pick up the DTAC Happy Tourist 4G SIM Card for Thailand here at about half the regular price from the official counters.
The paper voucher from Klook for the Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) One Day Pass can be used immediately upon redemption.
I headed back to Siam BTS Station to exchange my paper voucher for the actual Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) One Day Pass.
The exchange can be done at the BTS ticket counter. It’s fuss-free – just pass the Klook paper voucher to the BTS staff behind the ticket counter and he or she will know what to do.
The actual Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) One Day Pass exchanged from the BTS ticket counter.
The new Bangkok Sky Train (BTS) One Day Pass is now contactless, so simply tap your card at the fare gates to get in and out of the station. After the day is done, you can keep the card as a souvenir.
If you are coming in from Suvarnabhumi Airport, Klook also has a BKK Airport Pick Up counter there too, at B Floor, RC6 (next to Airport Rail Link City Line Station, seated on the former site of the Express Line concourse). The BKK Airport Pick Up counter opening hours are from 8:00am to 11:00pm daily unless otherwise indicated.
Do indicate which Klook pick-up counter you are going to use when purchasing your tickets or SIM cards.
