MySawasdee Penang Edition is a seasonal KTM Intercity international cross-border express train journey operating between Butterworth in Malaysia and Hat Yai Junction in Thailand. This train service aims to cater to northern Malaysian tourists looking to explore southern Thailand. MySawasdee Penang Edition will run from 29 December 2024 to 5 January 2025. Booking opens on 23 December 2024 at 10am.
The MySawasdee Penang Edition train journey is designed to offer a convenient and scenic travel option, increasing the level of comfort and reducing the number of stops compared to regular SRT Shuttle and Komuter Utara trains. The journey begins at Butterworth and includes intermediate stops at Bukit Mertajam, Sungai Petani, Alor Setar, Arau, and Padang Besar only. Passengers must disembark at Padang Besar for immigration clearance before continuing to Hat Yai.
Only 1 travel class is available on board the MySawasdee Penang Edition – ASC (Air-conditioned Second Class) seats.
