Step 1: Visit the KTMB Integrated Ticketing System (KITS) website and search for your train / create a new account
If you haven’t done so already, create your KITS account. This also allows you to register for a concession fare if applicable to your status.
A list of available trains based on your search will be shown on the next page.
If not logged in, you will be prompted here to log in to your account if you haven’t done so.
Step 2: Select train and pick seat
Click on “Pick Seats” according to the train to choose your seat.
A seat map will show up of your chosen train. Click on your preferred seat to reserve it together with your ticket.
Step 3: Proceed to passenger details
Once back to this page, click on “Proceed to passenger details” to move on.
Fill in the fields as indicated in this page. If you are travelling, click on “I am travelling” to auto-populate the page with your saved details.
Step 4: Proceed to payment
The order summary with your details will be shown on the next page. Double-check through it, and select your preferred payment type here. Payment can be made by Visa & Mastercard Credit Cards, Visa & Mastercard Debit Cards, KTM Wallet, Online Banking, Boost e-Wallet, or Touch ‘n Go eWallet.
I opted to pay by credit card. The next page shows a timer followed by a popup to request my payment details.
This part should be self-explanatory. Key in your credit card details.
My bank requires an one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS to finalise the payment. This OTP pop-up will pop-up within the pop-up.
Step 5: Ticket confirmation
After a successful payment, the KTMB Integrated Ticketing System (KITS) website will show the confirmation page. Click on “Print ticket” to view your ticket.
You may print your KTM ETS and KTM Intercity train ticket from this page. Alternatively, you may also take a screenshot with the full details clearly shown. Both a screenshot or a printout is accepted for scanning and/or boarding.
Step 6: Retrieving your ticket later
A .pdf ticket will also be emailed to you a few minutes after payment and confirmation. This will make retrieving it easy as you can simply search through your email for your ticket.
In case you did not print your ticket, screenshot it, or received an email with it, you can still access your ticket in the KTMB Integrated Ticketing System (KITS) website under “My Ticket” at any time prior to your trip.
Step 6a: Retrieving your ticket on KTMB Mobile app
Your ticket is also synced in the KTMB Mobile app after logging in, even when purchased from the KTMB Integrated Ticketing System (KITS) website. This makes accessing your KTM ETS and KTM Intercity train tickets very convenient with the KTMB Mobile app.
