New Thailand Digital Arrival Card Compulsory for Foreign Travellers from 1 May 2025

Starting 1 May 2025, Thailand will introduce the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), also known as the digital TM6 form – a significant change in its immigration procedures. This new system will replace the traditional paper-based arrival immigration form, requiring all non-Thai nationals entering the country by air, land, or sea to submit their arrival information online using the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival.

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is compulsory for all foreign travellers, regardless of their visa status or mode of entry. Foreign travellers must register their details online within three (3) days before arriving in Thailand, including the date of arrival. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is not a visa – existing visa policies and procedures apply.

Steps for Submitting the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

  1. Click “Arrival Card“.
  2. Enter your personal information, including details from your passport, then click “Continue“.
  3. Enter your trip and accommodation details, then click “Continue“.
  4. Enter the names of the countries you stayed in within two weeks prior to arrival for health declaration purposes. If any of the countries are listed under the Ministry of Public Health’s requirements, the system will prompt you to complete the health declaration.
  5. Click “Add” to include additional persons and repeat steps 1–4 for each traveler. If there are no more travelers, click “Next“.
  6. Review your information. If any details are incorrect, click “Edit“.
  7. Enter your email address to receive the Thailand Digital Arrival Card.
  8. Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions, then click “Submit“.
  9. Download the Thailand Digital Arrival Card. You can also download or print a copy from the email address provided for the duration of your stay in Thailand.

The system aims to streamline immigration processes, making them faster, easier, and more secure by eliminating paper forms. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) will integrate with Thailand’s e-Visa system, health screenings, and tourist fee collection processes to enhance efficiency and security.

Foreign travellers can access the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) through Thailand’s official immigration website or mobile application. The process is free, and no fees are required for submission. For those who forget to submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival, self-service kiosks and immigration officers will be available to assist at entry points.

The introduction of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) reflects Thailand’s efforts to modernize its entry procedures and improve tourist safety and security. While some foreign travellers have expressed confusion and concerns about the changes, the digital system is designed to provide a smoother and more efficient experience for visitors.
