KTMB Offers 20% Discount ETS Train Tickets For Chinese New Year & Early Ramadan 2026
KTM Berhad has announced a special 20% discount offer for selected ETS train services for journeys from 15 February to 22 February 2026 in conjunction with the Chinese New Year and early Ramadan 2026 celebrations, giving Malaysians the opportunity to enjoy more affordable and comfortable festive season travel.
This discount applies to journeys in all sectors and passengers can enjoy the offer by using the promotional codes ETSANGPOW20 and ONGTRAIN20 for selected dates when purchasing tickets. Ticket purchases using the promotional codes can be made from today, 14 February 2026. A total of 5,000 promotional codes are being offered, subject to the stipulated terms and conditions.

KTMB Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Azlan Shah Al‑Bakri, said that this offer reflects KTMB’s continuous efforts to provide more efficient and people‑friendly mobility solutions.
“This 20 per cent discount gives passengers the opportunity to save on travel costs throughout the festive season. At the same time, using trains as the main alternative can help reduce highway congestion and ensure smoother, more comfortable and safer journeys,” he said.
He also encouraged the public to plan their journeys early and take advantage of this limited promotion period.
Travel Tips and Customer Support
Passengers are advised to purchase tickets via cashless transactions through the KTM Mobile (KITS Style) app, KTMB’s official website, or ticket kiosks to secure their seats and enjoy flexi-fares if and while lower. As of 1 January 2025, KTMB has fully transitioned to a cashless ticketing system.
Passengers are also encouraged to arrive at stations 30 minutes before departure for smoother documentation processes, as boarding gates will close 5 minutes prior to departure to ensure a seamless and comfortable journey.

- This discount is for one-way journeys for the travel period from 15 February 2026 to 22 February 2026 or until the promo code allocation is fully utilised.
- This discount is only for journeys on Monday to Sunday.
- This discount is only for ETS services (excluding Business Class) and is subject to seat availability.
- This discount is only eligible for Malaysian citizens and ticket purchases for one person only, based on their identification card.
- This discount is only applicable to ticket purchases priced at RM40.00 and above for each ticket.
- This discount is given only for the adult category and is a 20% discount on the full ticket fare.
- This discount can be used for ticket purchases on KTMB’s official website, the KITS Style or KTMB Mobile applications and at KIOSK (TVM) machines only.
- This discount is NOT ELIGIBLE for KTM Intercity, Shuttle Tebrau, KTM Komuter Central and KTM Komuter Northern train services.
- No ticket cancellations are allowed for purchases made using this promo code.
- This discount is NOT ELIGIBLE for ALL CONCESSION TICKETS (senior citizens, student i‑Card holders, persons with disabilities, pensioners and others).
