KTM ETS Extra Trains for Thaipusam, School Holidays & Chinese New Year 2024

KTM Berhad will be running extra ETS trains for Thaipusam, School Holidays & Chinese New Year in the first quarter of 2024. The usual pairs of KL Sentral-Padang Besar trains will run across the 3 peak periods, along with a KL Sentral-Butterworth pair for Thaipusam 2024, and a new series of KL Sentral-Ipoh trains with limited-stop 2-hour runs for Chinese New Year 2024. Here are the train information for the additional ETS trains running for Thaipusam, School Holidays, and Chinese New Year in the first quarter of 2024.

Tickets for all ETS extra trains will open for sale on 15 January 2024 at 12pm on the KTMB Integrated Ticketing System (KITS).

KTM ETS Thaipusam 2024 Extra Trains

KTM will be running 2 long-distance pairs of trains for the KL Sentral-Padang Besar and KL Sentral-Butterworth routes. The extra KL Sentral-Butterworth pair of trains will run on 24 and 25 January 2024, while the extra KL Sentral-Padang Besar pair of trains will run on 26, 27, and 28 January 2024.

KTM ETS School Holidays February-March 2024 Extra Trains

KTM will be running 1 long-distance pairs of trains for the KL Sentral-Padang Besar route from 7 February to 10 March 2024.

KTM ETS Chinese New Year 2024 Extra Trains

KTM will be running 2 short-distance pairs of trains for the KL Sentral-Ipoh route from 7 to 13 February 2024. From 7 to 11 February 2024, the northbound trains will run a new limited stop service from KL Sentral to Ipoh in 2 hours with only 1 stop at Kuala Lumpur. On 12 and 13 February 2024, the southbound trains will run a new limited stop service from Ipoh to KL Sentral in 2 hours with only 1 stop at Kuala Lumpur.
