KTMB Launches 2 New Additional ETS Kluang Weekend Trains from 10 October 2025

KTM Berhad has announced the introduction of two new Electric Train Service (ETS) routes between Kluang and KL Sentral, further strengthening its commitment to providing safe, comfortable, and reliable public transport. These additional services will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10 October 2025.

Each train will offer 315 seats, including a dedicated Business Class coach, and will run exclusively on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This enhancement to the current daily schedule will provide greater convenience for residents of Kluang, offering them a faster, more comfortable alternative to road travel and alleviating the challenges of weekend traffic congestion.

Since the launch of the daily KL SentralKluang ETS service on 30 August 2025, passenger response has been highly encouraging. Up to 28 September 2025, a total of 10,873 passengers had travelled on the route, comprising 4,461 weekday passengers (Monday to Thursday) and 6,412 weekend passengers (Friday to Sunday).

Tickets for the new weekend services will be available for purchase from 10:00am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, via the KTMB Mobile app (KITS), self-service kiosks, and KTMB’s official website.

EP9510 and EP9515 operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.

With the new ETS Platinum train, passengers from Kluang can reach KL Sentral directly in approximately 3.5 hours.

Through this initiative, KTMB reaffirms its commitment to offering greater flexibility and convenience, ensuring a more efficient travel experience for all passengers, particularly those commuting between Kluang and Kuala Lumpur.
