Lounge Review – Saphire Temporary Lounge Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta Terminal 3: A Simple Lounge for Short Stays

The Saphire Temporary Lounge at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta Terminal 3 is the only Priority Pass lounge available to use in the newest terminal of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. As I had one lounge visit left to use before its impending expiry date in less than 2 weeks and I have no more flights scheduled for more premium lounges, I settled to use it here to just make use of the visit.

WARNING: Paying per entry at the door costs just Rp.200,000 (~S$19.07), making this lounge not economically viable to use the Priority Pass quota (valued at US$29.90 per entry on the Standard Plus plan), unless you have the unlimited Prestige plan or you just want to clear the quota before impending expiry like me.

The linear interior of the Saphire Temporary Lounge.

A self-service noodle station is located near the entrance.

A small selection of soups and a chilled salad bar are available.

A selection of ready salads are also available, though they were running out and it was hard to decipher what the emptying ones were.

Simple hot food of pasta with sauce and some chicken were available.

Just bits and pieces of pizza left.

Some Indonesian gorengan is also featured. This actually looks more appetizing than the other cooked food.

A selection of room temperature desserts was also available.

A selection of pastries and bread is also featured.

For hot drinks and alcohol, there is a coffee bar for coffee made-to-order by an actual barista. The first bottle of Bintang beer is also served complimentary, included in the lounge visit.

If you prefer Pepsi or cordial drinks, you can head to the cold drinks station too.

Overall, I felt like the presence of the Saphire Temporary Lounge, as the name suggests, is to simply satisfy a presence of a Priority Pass lounge in Terminal 3 as it didn’t live up to the quality of most other Priority Pass lounges around the world. However, if I had paid the normal price of Rp.200,000, I would say that the quality would be on par with what I paid for as the price is quite low for international airport lounges.

Hopefully, a future Saphire “Permanent” Lounge would do a much better job than this.
