Passing of Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore, has passed away this morning, 23 March 2015, at 3.18am at the Singapore General Hospital, aged 91.

His body will lie in state from Wednesday (25 March 2015) to Saturday (28 March 2015). A State Funeral Service will be held on Sunday (29 March 2015) at 2pm at the University Cultural Centre, National University of Singapore. The State Funeral Service will be followed by a private cremation at Mandai Crematorium.

LHL Tanglin Halt

When Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was younger, the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew used to bring him to the former Tanglin Halt (near the current Buona Vista MRT and Biopolis) for some trainspotting in the evening.
