Having stayed at Qing Yun Resthouse Bandar previously with a rather pleasant stay, I decided to pick the same hotel again instead of exploring another part of Bandar Seri Begawan as I had an early morning bus to catch from Waterfront Bandar Seri Begawan, so this would be a lot more convenient for me to just wake up and show up for my bus.
The entrance to Qing Yun Resthouse Bandar has changed from the third floor to the ground floor of the building.
Qing Yun Resthouse Bandar together with the other shops on Jalan McArthur Building.
Inside the brand new hotel lobby and front desk of Qing Yun Resthouse Bandar on the first floor, with new rooms too.
Taking a seat while the front desk staff went to check on my room.
I had actually arrived super early and was asking for an early check-in which was not available, but the front desk lady allowed me to use the toilet in the office and leave my bag with her in the office. As I was taking my necessities out from my bag and coming out from the toilet, the boss (I think) came in and told her off to not allow guests inside. Well, sorry about that boss, but I think your staff went the extra mile for your guest to at least allow me to freshen up and leave my things here before the check-in time, and for this, I thank her.
Once my room was ready after check-in time, the staff showed me to my room through the new corridor filled with new rooms. This wasn’t here last time.
Heading out the back door to the lift.
The lift at Jalan McArthur Building which I took up to the hotel last time now belongs to Qing Yun Resthouse Bandar, and access is sealed off from the outside areas of the building to form a new private link between rooms.
Heading into the former entrance to head to my room on the old third floor.
My Standard Single Room booked for the night. The sheets have been changed to purple.
Cupped mineral water are provided along with an electric kettle on the side table.
A clothes line and rack is positioned behind the door.
Ironing facilities are also available in the room.
The remote controls and phone along with a universal power socket are found at the bed side table.
Internet TV is available with a wide range of channels.
A hairdryer is provided beside the TV.
A rain shower is provided in the toilet along with a foot washing tap.
The toilet bowl and sink is located at the end of the toilet cubicle, along with a bidet spray. Sufficient soap is also provided.
Overall, another comfortable and pleasant stay at Qing Yun Resthouse Bandar, both for the now-familiarity and convenience of being located right at Waterfront Bandar Seri Begawan, allowing for easy access to the Brunei-Muara Public Bus at BSB Bus Terminal and long-distance buses to Malaysia and Indonesia at Waterfront Bandar Seri Begawan. I’ll probably want to try the brand new rooms next time though, if I come back to the same hotel again.
