Hotel Review: RedDoorz Plus @ Thamrin • Clean Budget Hotel near BNI City (Sudirman Baru) Railink Station

RedDoorz Plus @ Thamrin is, what I think, a new hotel near Sudirman KRL Station. By that, I mean that it did not show up on Google Maps when I made by booking, but instead, a hotel by the old name of Hotel Fiducia Blora showed up.

Nevertheless, with the RedDoorz chain reasonably well-known around the South East Asian region, and the location seems pretty good for my trip, I went ahead and booked my stay.

About 2 minutes away from Sudirman KRL Station is the main entrance of RedDoorz Plus @ Thamrin.

The lobby and front desk of RedDoorz Plus @ Thamrin. Check-in was pretty quick since I had already made prior payment online.

While the room size was nothing much to brag about, the size of the bed was a lot bigger than I had expected, taking up most of the room space.

The side table and chair in the room. The curtained window provides a view of the corridor – this room does not come with a view.

The attached bathroom was sufficiently spacious too. The toilet bowl comes with an eco washer – not something that I was expecting from a budget hotel.

A standing shower is also provided with good water pressure and temperature.

The sink and clothes rack is by the door. The clothes rack was a bit loose though, but hangs a towel just fine.

Towels and additional toiletries are provided on the bed.

In the bag, there are two toothbrush sets, a comb, and a pack of cotton buds.

A laminated letter was provided on the side table explaining about the amenities in the room, which I thought was a nice touch.

As this is a non-smoking inside room, a fine will be imposed should you insist on smoking.

Two mineral water bottles are provided for each night.

Overall, RedDoorz Plus @ Thamrin was value for money for my stay in Jakarta for accessibility to the KRL and TransJakarta networks, as well as the good cleanliness standard and sufficiently-sized room.
