The Shuttle Tebrau is a popular shuttle train plying between Woodlands CIQ and JB Sentral, with tickets easily selling out 30 days in advance for the 5-minute across the Causeway. Heading to JB on a weekend, I opted to use it to cross the border efficiently and comfortably.
From Marsiling MRT Station, I got on SMRT Bus Service 856 to Woodlands Train Checkpoint and headed to the KTM ticket counter to print my ticket.

My ticket for the 86up Shuttle Tebrau from Woodlands CIQ to JB Sentral.
After getting my ticket checked and clearing Singapore and Malaysia immigration, I headed to board the Shuttle Tebrau train to JB.
The Shuttle Tebrau is now made up of refurbished ASC (Hyundai-Padu Sedia) coaches which feature reclining seats in a 2+2 configuration.
The Shuttle Tebrau is free-seating for the 5-minute ride across the Causeway.
The 86up Shuttle Tebrau departed from Woodlands CIQ on time at 5.30pm.

As this was a Sunday evening, the Causeway wasn’t very jammed on entry into Malaysia.

The journey on the Shuttle Tebrau across the Johor–Singapore Causeway takes just 5 minutes.
Disembarking from the Shuttle Tebrau.
As both Singapore and Malaysia immigration has already been cleared at Woodlands CIQ, simply exit the station as you are already officially stamped in to Malaysia.
Head up the escalators to exit.
At the concourse level, head on to the next set of escalators.
Once up at the main hall, head on to wherever you need to go – welcome to Malaysia.
If you are continuing your journey on the Ekspres Selatan or Ekspres Rakyat Timuran, wait for your train to be called at Gate B, which is actually where you have just exited from.
Overall, the Shuttle Tebrau is a quick and easy journey from Singapore to Malaysia which takes just 5 minutes of travelling time. Though be sure to book your tickets early as such a convenient service tend to sell out very early, as early as 5 minutes after opening for sale 30 days before departure nowadays.
