Singapore Removes Post-Arrival Day 3 & Day 7 Supervised Antigen Test (ART) for VTL Travellers from 24 January 2022

New Simplified Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) Antigen Rapid Test (ART) Testing Regime

From 24 January 2022, all Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) travellers are no longer required to do post-arrival Day 3 and Day 7 supervised Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at Combined Test Centres (CTCs) or Quick Test Centres (QTCs).

The 7-day VTL testing regime will be relaxed with VTL travellers only being required to do unsupervised self-administered ARTs from Day 2 to Day 7 of their arrivals, only if they need to leave their place of residence or accommodation.

Travellers need not submit their ART results, but must test negative before going out.

VTL travellers who arrive before 23 January 2022, 2359 hours are still required to continue with the existing testing regime (i.e. unsupervised self-administered ART on Days 2, 4, 5 and 6 with submission of results online, and supervised ART on Days 3 and 7 from their arrival).

Travellers who test positive on ARTs also no longer need to undergo a confirmatory PCR test, but should instead simply recover under Protocol 2.

Days 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 unsupervised self-administered COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART)

From 22 February 2022, the Days 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 unsupervised self-administered COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) procedure will cease. There is no more COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) regime after the on-arrival test for VTL passengers.

The Days 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 unsupervised self-administered COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) procedure is very straightforward. Purchase your own COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) kit in Singapore or the country of embarkation.

You are now allowed to bring up to 20 COVID-19 self-test kits approved in the country of embarkation in to Singapore.

You are only required to do the unsupervised self-administered ART before you leave your place of accommodation on Days 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7. You do not need to submit the results anywhere, but must test negative before going out.

You are not required to do the unsupervised self-administered ART if you are not leaving your place of accommodation on Days 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7.

You are also allowed to bring up to 20 COVID-19 self-test kits approved in the country of your embarkation in to Singapore, which may further bring down the costs of COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) kits.
