Stuttgart Stadtbahn U5 Light Rail Train from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof to Killesberg

The Stuttgart Stadtbahn is a light rail system operating on a mix of grade-separated lines and street running tracks in Stuttgart, Germany. The Stuttgart Stadtbahn uses the “U” logo like the metro U-Bahn, but the “U” does not stand for untergrund (underground), but rather for unabhängig (independent). To Killesbergpark, there is a direct Stuttgart Stadtbahn line U5 on an underground branch line serving Killesberg station.

Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof

Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station in Stuttgart and is also a major interchange for the Stuttgart Stadtbahn.

Due to the low catchment, Stuttgart Stadtbahn Line U5 operates with the lowest frequency throughout the Stuttgart Stadtbahn network at every 20 minutes during the day and evening, and every 30 minutes at other times. You may have to wait for lots of trains to pass before the U5 arrives.

I waited for about 10 minutes for my U5 train which is the median.
