Tune Hotel Waterfront Kuching is a budget hotel by Tune Group, which is the same parent company as AirAsia Berhad. It’s located on Kuching Waterfront which is close enough to the central tourist part of Kuching, and one of the few hotels in that area for a low price.

Two key cards are given at check-in. The one with the dash is for electricity only, and the one with my room number is for entering the room.

An in-room safe is also provided.
With remnants of the past from the original Tune Hotel pay-as-you-go standard, the ceiling fan is still provided.
There is also a 3-pin power socket with light controls beside the bed.

Overall, a simple and pleasant stay at Tune Hotel Waterfront Kuching with the cheap hotel rate and comfortable room at a convenient location, great for a first-time visit to Kuching.
Tune Hotel Waterfront Kuching Airport Shuttle Service to Kuching International Airport
There is also a tour desk at the lobby where there is an airport transfer service to Kuching International Airport.
The hourly airport transfer service to Kuching International Airport operates from 7.30am till 8.30pm, departing at :30 of the hour, with a lunch break at the missing 1.30pm departure. The fare for each person costs RM6. The airport transfer service only operates with a minimum of 2 passengers. If you are travelling solo, you will need to pay for 2 passengers (ie. RM12) for the transfer to depart. (This transfer only operates one way to Kuching International Airport, and is not available for arrivals to Tune Hotel Waterfront Kuching.)

For reference though, a normal Grab costs around RM12 from Tune Hotel Waterfront Kuching to Kuching International Airport, so yeah, make your own calculations if you have a group of 3 or more. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
