KTM Komuter Ekspres 2603dn from Kuala Lumpur to Bandar Tasik Selatan
Komuter Ekspres 2603dn is a once-a-weekday train service from Sentul to Pulau Sebang (Tampin). stopping at only Bandar Tasik Selatan, Kajang, and Nilai when travelling express between KL Sentral and Seremban. Heading back to Singapore by bus from TBS, I took Komuter Ekspres 2603dn from the old Kuala Lumpur Railway Station to Bandar Tasik Selatan, specially to ride on this once-a-weekday express Komuter train.
Kuala Lumpur Railway Station

KTM Komuter trains heading south of KL depart from Platform 3.

My Komuter Ekspres 2603dn approaching Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. I was pleased to see the newly-refurbished 92 Class SCS20 after 9 years. SCS20 was involved in a derailment near Shah Alam on 14 February 2013, and is finally back in service in end-2022. The Komuter Ekspres 2603dn bears an additional plastic destination sign of “EKSPRES” in front of the train.

Kuala Lumpur Sentral Railway Station (KL Sentral)

Making a brief stop at KL Sentral where a lot more passengers boarded the express train.

The dynamic route map above the train doors displays the usual route, but did not change to display the next station on departure from KL Sentral.

Heading out of KL Sentral.

Passing by Bangsar LRT Station.

Passing by a DMIA JNR Class DD51 (DD51形) locomotive.

Passing through Simpang Pelabuhan Klang heading towards the south.

Crossing over the Klang River.

Passing through MidValley Railway Station. The Komuter Ekspres 2603dn skips all stations between KL Sentral and Bandar Tasik Selatan.

Passing by the KL skyline at Bandar Malaysia.

Passing over the KL evening exodus jam at Sungai Besi.

Looking at the ERL tracks with regular non-stop KLIA Transit KL Sentral-Bandar Tasik Selatan trains all daty.

The dynamic route map changed to reflect Bandar Tasik Selatan Railway Station upon approaching the station.
Bandar Tasik Selatan Railway Station

My Komuter Ekspres 2603dn arrived at Bandar Tasik Selatan Railway Station at 6.14pm – 5 minutes early.

Being a single-track station with 1 platform serving both bounds, there were confusion among platform passengers on where the train is going, on top of the Komuter Ekspres 2603dn skipping stations en route. Platform passengers turned to asking train passengers through the train doors.

Heading up of the stairs to exit from the platform.

Heading to the ticket gates.

The new KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector KITS ticket gates are being installed.

Heading out through the old fare gates.

Can’t see a thing on the screen on the fare gates as it was brown and the screen didn’t change when I tapped out anyway. Normal KTM Komuter fares are charged for the Komuter Ekspres 2603dn with no extra fares needed to be paid.

The small façade of Bandar Tasik Selatan Railway Station.

From here, I took the linkbridge onwards to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) to catch my bus back to Singapore.
