Rapid KL LRT Kelana Jaya Line Resumes Train Services From 14 November 2022, Free Rides Until 20 November 2022

Rapid Rail will re-open the full LRT Kelana Jaya Line from Gombak to Putra Heights from Monday 14 November 2022 at 6am, 2 days earlier than scheduled, after receiving approval from the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD).

Based on the analysis of extensive tests carried out by Rapid Rail technical experts and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Thales Group, APAD has confirmed the stability of the automatic train control (ATC) system and have declared the LRT Kelana Jaya Line safe to operate fully again.

Free Rides on LRT Kelana Jaya Line from 14-20 November 2022

Rapid Rail will also provide compensation to LRT Kelana Jaya Line passengers.

Previously, Rapid Rail had announced free fares for every day of service disruption to LRT Kelana Jaya Line users.

While LRT Kelana Jaya Line services between Kelana Jaya and Ampang Park have been suspended for 5 days due to the early resumption of services, passengers will be given free travel for 7 days.

My50 users

My50 users will be given additional free travel for 7 days when renewing the My50 pass after expiry. Renewals can be done from 21 November to 20 December 2022.

My50 users can go to any Customer Service Office at LRT, MRT, Monorail, and BRT stations to confirm eligibility with the Customer Service Officer.

For My50 users whose passes expire between Monday, 14 November 2022 and Sunday, 20 November 2022, the My50 pass can be used as usual without any charge. Ensure that at least RM5 of stored value is maintained in the My50 pass.

Touch ‘n Go Card users

Touch ‘n Go card users using the LRT Kelana Jaya Line can use Touch ‘n Go without any charge from Monday, 14 November 2022 to Sunday, 20 November 2022 as long as the start or end destination is at an LRT Kelana Jaya Line station. Ensure that at least RM5 of stored value is maintained in the Touch ‘n Go Card.

Token (Cash) users

All token (cash) users using the LRT Kelana Jaya Line from from Monday, 14 November 2022 to Sunday, 20 November 2022 can enjoy free trips. Token (cash) users can go to any Customer Service Office at LRT, MRT, Monorail and BRT stations to obtain a special one-way travel token, as long as the start or end destination is at an LRT Kelana Jaya Line station.
