KTM’s Railway to See Malaysia Campaign to Attract Domestic & International Tourists

In preparation for Visit Malaysia Year 2026, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has launched a new campaign branded as Railway to See Malaysia on 24 May 2024, featuring Rail Tourism, at Platform 1 of Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. This campaign, recognized and supported by Tourism Malaysia, diversifies the nation’s existing tourism campaigns, including Eco Tourism, Gastronomy Tourism, Health Tourism, and other major attractions for tourists. It aims to increase the overall number of KTMB train passengers by 5% or 1.25 million within a year from the start of the campaign.

“This is KTMB’s latest initiative in boosting preparations for Visit Malaysia Year 2026. As we know, railway enthusiasts are found in every corner of the country. Through effective promotion, attractive packages, and the scenic beauty along the railway routes, we are confident of offering a different experience to tourists, thereby enhancing local economic revenue,” said Mohd Rani Hisham Samsudin, KTMB Group Chief Executive Officer.

Campaign Introductory Discount

KTM Berhad Offers 30% Discount on ETS for Two Together Travel

“As an introduction to this campaign, we are offering a 30% discount on ETS tickets for travel on every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout June and July. Users can redeem the provided promo code starting today at 3:00 PM, subject to the terms and conditions set,” he added.

The event also witnessed the launch of the campaign logo, officiated by the KTMB Group Chief Executive Officer alongside Mohamed Amin Yahya, Senior Director, Domestic and Events Division, Tourism Malaysia. The official song for Railway to See Malaysia, performed by popular national singer Aizat Amdan, was also presented during the event.

Passengers can look forward to an upcoming Fun Ride with Tourism Perak, Trip with Aizat Amdan, Railway to See Malaysia Excursion Train, FlyRail Package, Railway to See Malaysia Roadshow, Fun Run with Tourism Malaysia, and TravelPass.
