Rapid KL Bandaraya-Sentul Timur LRT Resumes from 12 May 2023

LRT Ampang and Sri Petaling Lines Bandaraya, Sultan Ismail, PWTC, Titiwangsa, Sentul, and Sentul Timur LRT Stations will resume shuttle train services from 12 May 2023.

This comes after the temporary repair work (first phase) of the damaged viaduct structure and track near Bandaraya LRT Station has been completed, and stranded trains used for the Bandaraya-Sentul Timur Shuttle Train which previously no longer met operational criteria can return back to Ampang LRT Depot for the first time since 27 January 2023. Maintained trains can be now transferred to the Bandaraya-Sentul Timur Shuttle Train regularly.

With the LRT Bandaraya-Sentul Timur Shuttle Train back in operation from 12 May 2023, LRT Bus Bridging Services LRT11, LRT13, and LRT14 covering the Masjid Jamek-Sentul Timur sector will no longer be in operation. LRT Bus Bridging Service LRT10 will be reinstated to cover the closed LRT sector between Masjid Jamek and Bandaraya.

The LRT Bandaraya-Sentul Timur Shuttle Train was previously suspended since 2 April 2023.

The last day of LRT Bus Bridging Services LRT11, LRT13, and LRT14 covering the Masjid Jamek-Sentul Timur sector will be on 11 May 2023.

LRT Bus Bridging Service LRT10 will operate at a frequency of 10 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Full Resumption of LRT Ampang and Sri Petaling Lines by mid-October 2023

Comprehensive repair work (phase two) of the damaged viaduct structure and track near Bandaraya LRT Station is expected to be fully completed by mid-October 2023. Thereafter, LRT Ampang and Sri Petaling Lines train services will return to normal operation. This estimate is subject to evaluation and approval from the authorities involved.
