The Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange is a new temporary bus interchange in Jurong East, replacing Jurong East Temporary Bus Interchange which will be relocated from 6 December 2020 to facilitate the construction of the upcoming Jurong Region Line (JRL) and the Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub located right at the site of Jurong East Temporary Bus Interchange.
From 27-29 November 2020, the public was given a preview of Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange by Tower Transit Singapore, the operator of the Bulim Bus Package.
The new Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange will be located across the road from Jurong East Temporary Bus Interchange, on Jurong Gateway Road between its junctions with Jurong East Street 12 and Jurong East Central 1. This new temporary bus interchange will operate until the Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub is expected to be completed in 2027.
New Overhead Bridge to Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange
The Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange is accessed from Jurong East MRT Station from Exit B. A new pedestrian overhead bridge links the station to the bus interchange.
Tower Transit Singapore handed out brochures to the public during the familiarization days.
The pedestrian overhead bridge is well signposted throughout.
The Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange is located across the road from Jurong East Temporary Bus Interchange, on Jurong Gateway Road beside JCube. It is quite a significant distance to walk especially if you are rushing during peak hours, so factor in a few extra minutes for your commute just in case.

Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange Departure Berths
Despite the small footprint of the site, Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange has separate island platforms for arrival berths and departure berths, also making it a straightforward layout for both passengers and bus captains heading off for their break at the bus park.

Finally, escalators at a temporary bus interchange. Perhaps Land Transport Authority (LTA) has gotten a bit too much feedback from Woodlands residents regarding Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange.
Heading down to the departure platform.
On first impression, the new bus interchange is really small considering the high catchment area it serves. But that being said, as the bus berths are mostly located wrapped around the down escalator, this will result in a shorter walk within the interchange for most passengers.
Signs are on hand to direct you to the bus berth for your departing bus service.
Notice that there are 4 missing services – 78, 79, CW3, and CW4. More on that below.
Berth B1: Bus Services 51, 160 & 160M
Berth B2: Bus Services 52, 105 & 197
Berth B3: Bus Services 334 & 506
Berth B4: Bus Services 98, 98M & 333
Berth B5: Bus Services 97, 97e & 183
Berth B6: Bus Services 41, 49 & 66
The main commuter facilities and Berth B7 are located in a visually-separate island near JCube with a path level to the road. Perhaps this “level crossing” will be used to rescue failed vehicles or for emergency services.
The key feature of any good bus interchange or terminal is the NTWU Canteen. This will be air-conditioned for the comfort of bus captains.

Bus Stop 28301 Blk 131: Bus Services 78 & 79 (Boarding)
Bus Stop 28211 Bef Jurong East Stn: Bus Services 78 & 79 (Alighting)
Bus Service 78 will not call at Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange, but will use the pair of bus stop outside for boarding and alighting. Bus Service 78 will start from Bus Stop 28301 Blk 131 and end at Bus Stop 28211 Bef Jurong East Stn.
Bus Service 79 will not call at Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange, but will loop around Jurong East town centre anti-clockwise via Jurong East Street 12, Jurong Gateway Road, Jurong East Central and Jurong Town Hall Road. Commuters can board from Bus Stop 28301 Blk 131 or Bus Stop 28249 Jurong Regional Library behind Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange.

Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange Arrival Berths
The Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange Arrival Berths are located right at the road entrance to Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange, offering a straightforward drive for bus captains and a shorter walk for passengers.
4 arrival berths are available to serve up to 4 arriving buses simultaneously. Notably, the berths do not cater for bendy buses, but not that it’s needed in Jurong East anyway.
Connections to departing bus services out of Relocated Jurong East Bus Interchange and MRT station are all done by the new pedestrian overhead bridge.
Do not attempt to walk across the bus park.
The connection to the pedestrian overhead bridge is around the middle of the platform, so you should hope that you’re not on the first or last bus in so that you get a slightly shorter walk.
An information screen is available for departing buses in case you are making a transfer here and need to decide to run or buy a drink first.
Passengers can exit directly out from the arrival platform to JCube.
The escalator up to the pedestrian overhead bridge is just beside. The lift is behind.

Turn left for the MRT, and turn right for Causeway Link Bus Services CW3 and CW4 at the long bus stops for private buses on Venture Avenue, once borders are freely opened again.
