Woodlands North RTS Link Station

Woodlands North RTS Link Station is the future underground southern terminus of the JB-Singapore Rapid Transit Link (RTS Link) located in Woodlands North, Singapore. It is located in a developing region in Woodlands North at Woodlands North Coast Road, beside the existing Woodlands North MRT station. This cross-border facility is part of the future North Coast Innovation Corridor.

Woodlands North RTS Link Station will operate on the Spanish Solution whereby passengers board on one side of the train and disembark from another. The departure platform will be an island platform serving both tracks so passengers can board the first train that is departing.

The arrival platform will be side platforms, leading directly out to the concourse.

To cater for the crowd, the concourse will be rather wide. It is expected that co-located Singapore and Malaysia immigration facilities for entry into Malaysia will be located before the departure platform. Co-located Singapore and Malaysia immigration facilities for entry into Singapore will be at Bukit Chagar RTS Link Station.

MRT

The Thomson–East Coast MRT Line connects with the RTS Link at Woodlands North. The Thomson–East Coast MRT Line is particularly useful for tourists, leading directly to places of interests such as Orchard, Maxwell for Chinatown, Gardens by the Bay, Founders’ Memorial for Gardens by the Bay East, Marine Parade, and Changi Airport.

SMRT Bus Service 856 serves Woodlands North RTS Link Station from Woodlands North MRT Station.

Contract T232 involves the construction of Woodlands North RTS Link Station, associated RTS Link tunnels, and the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) building, and was awarded to Penta-Ocean Construction Co Ltd at a contract value of S$932,800,000.

Contract T235 for the Construction of Viaduct and Tunnels for Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link

Contract T235 involves the construction of RTS Link viaducts and tunnels in Singapore, and was awarded to China Communications Construction Company Limited (Singapore Branch) at a contract value of around $180 million.
