Hotel Review: Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre Superior Twin Room (2022)

Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel

Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre is a hotel located adjacent to Pasar Seni LRT & MRT Station, and nearby KTM Kuala Lumpur Railway Station via a linkbridge. For this trip, I decided to stay here at Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre for the convenience of location when my holiday in KL would revolve around trains.

Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre Check-in

The lobby of Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre is nicely air-conditioned which is a good respite from the heat outside.

Check-in was almost fuss-free, except that I was asked for payment when I had already paid for my booking on agoda. Nevertheless, after showing my receipt and payment confirmation, I was provided with a WhatsApp number to send the screenshots over to, and I got my room key without further issues.

While I had booked a “Room Assigned on Arrival” with a cheaper rate, I was able to request for the type of room I like at the front desk itself, which was brilliant.

The corridor for the rooms. 1 side of the rooms will face the LRT tracks and the other side facing Jalan Hang Kasturi.

Guess which side I requested for.

Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre Superior Twin Room

The first view of my Superior Twin Room for my stay of 2 nights.

WiFi is available which is provided on the room key sleeve.

There is an open wardrobe by the door which is spacious for placing my bags and laying out my clothes.

MIneral wayer, coffee, and tea are provided in the room, along with a kettle for boiling hot water.

A safe and minibar is provided. The minibar is empty which I like as I can easily put my own drinks in without congestion or being wrongly charged at check-out.

The Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre Superior Twin Room is laid out in a Hollywood Twin formation with 2 single beds side by side.

There is a desk with a proper seat by the side of the bed.

There is a television in the room with mostly local channels.

The toilet has a sliding door which maximises space.

The toilet bowl has a bidet spray beside it.

Towels are placed on the towel rack above the toilet bowl.

The bathmat is hung on the shower door by the sink.

Toothbrush kits are provided on the shelf above the sink.

The standing shower in the toilet was rather spacious and the water pressure was good.

Shampoo and body wash are provided in dispensers mounted beside the shower.

And finally, the reason for staying at Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre is for the view of LRTs passing by my room.

The frequency of LRTs are surprisingly slow compared to 2 years ago. Peak hour travel won’t be comfortable at all at this rate.

Overall, Travelodge Kuala Lumpur City Centre is great for railway fans and normal tourists for its location just beside the LRT tracks and easy access to Pasar Seni LRT & MRT Station and Kuala Lumpur Railway Station to catch the LRT Kelana Jaya Line, MRT Kajang Line, and KTM Komuter Central Sector.

  1. We are looking to try this hotel. It appears that the breakfast option is now gone. I guess the operator couldn’t survive the covid restrictions. Such a shame for them. Did you find the hotel good value ?
