Causeway Link AA1 from JB Sentral to Senai Airport by Airport Express Bus Review
Causeway Link AA1 is Senai’s airport express bus connecting JB Sentral directly to Senai Airport with no stops in between. Heading to Senai Airport to catch my flight to Bangkok, I used Causeway Link AA1 as my direct connection from crossing the Causeway to the airport.
JB Sentral Bus Terminal
JB Sentral Bus Terminal is located at the first escalator down on the left after crossing the bridge from immigration.
Many bus services serve JB Sentral Bus Terminal, as the local stage bus hub in Johor Bahru.
There is a Causeway Link counter advertising the AA1 bus service, however, tickets are no longer sold here prior to boarding.
Instead, the AA1 Airport Shuttle now takes payments like a regular myBAS bus, directly on board. Fares remain the same at RM8.

The timetable of the AA1 airport express bus is also pasted on the board in front of Platform 1. Buses depart about once an hour.
Close to departure time, a myBAS Johor Bahru Bus T33 arrived at Platform 1, for the same time departure at 1pm.
My Causeway Link AA1 airport express bus was waiting outside.
The myBAS Johor Bahru Bus T33 departed from JB Sentral 3 minutes early, and my Causeway Link AA1 bus used Platform 1 next.
As I had a ManjaLink card, I simply tapped my card on board upon boarding.

Overhead luggage racks are available for small bags. However, there is no proper storage for cabin-sized bags and bigger.
Nevertheless, the bus was not full, and passengers could use the many empty seats available to place bags.
My 1pm Causeway Link AA1 airport express bus departed from JB Sentral at 1.03pm – 3 minutes late.

Causeway Link AA1 takes Skudai Highway to Senai Airport, but runs non-stop without serving any bus stops along the way.
Senai International Airport
My Causeway Link AA1 bus arrived at Senai International Airport at 1.45pm – 5 minutes early.
The Causeway Link AA1 bus bay at Senai International Airport is at the end of the car porch. This is also the same stop if boarding the Causeway Link AA1 bus back to JB Sentral.
There is a sheltered walkway through the pick-up porch from the bus bay to the main terminal building.
