KTM ETS Platinum
ETS Platinum offers a mixed-accommodation ETS service on KTM’s network with both Standard Class and Business Class seating. For ETS Platinum trains operating north of Kuala Lumpur, the train serves minimal stops at only key stations along its route. For ETS Platinum trains operating south of Kuala Lumpur, the train serves minimal stops along the KTM Komuter network, and stops at all stations outside the KTM Komuter network.
ETS Platinum menawarkan perkhidmatan bercampur tempat duduk ETS dalam rangkaian KTM dengan pilihan Kelas Standard dan Kelas Perniagaan. KTM ETS Platinum Northern Sector
KTM ETS Platinum Northern Sector trains are limited-stop ETS trains on KTM’s northern routes between KL Sentral and Butterworth or Padang Besar along Malaysia’s electrified West Coast Line. These services prioritize speed with fewer stops, and include both Standard Class and Business Class seating.
KTM ETS Platinum Southern Sector
KTM ETS Platinum Southern Sector trains are all-stop ETS trains on KTM’s southern route between KL Sentral and JB Sentral along Malaysia’s electrified West Coast Line, outside the KTM Komuter network. These services are the backbone of the railway in southern Malaysia, stopping at all stops outside the KTM Komuter network, and include both Standard Class and Business Class seating.

You can buy tickets to Bangkok starting from Butterworth (1 train daily) or Hat Yai (5 trains daily). No online purchase is available. Buy your train from Butterworth ticket (36up) at any KTM Intercity ticket counters.

You board at Gate B. Once you go down, there will either be only 1 train or staff at the departing train.

I just cross referenced the seating plan you kindly put up in this page with the Ktmb website. It does not quite match. For example on the Ktmb website, when I selected ETS1-ETS Platinum (ETS 9204) Coach B, there are no seats 14C 14D 15C 15D. Would you kindly be able to advise on this please?

Im travel by ets from KL sentral to sungai petani and return in same day,im no happy with my journey,due to ets (train) system..every time they stop the train more than an hour for some stupid reason and wasting everybody time here.this is my first and last journey with ets.
Kl sentral to Sungai petani 6 hrs,and return also same,but in ticket they 4 hrs and 30min.
