Looks like it’s completely impossible to ride it without spending a night in Gemas! The shortest connection to the 08:00 northbound train in Gemas from JB arrives at 01:23, and is the existing ERT (!) while the shortest connection from KL arrives at 23:59, making a wait time of 8 hours (!)
The southbound train arrives at Gemas at 17:55, making a 8h5m connection to JB and a 15h5m (!!!) connection to KL. And I always thought a daytime train on this route would be extremely convenient!
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but this isn’t the only train which requires an overnight stay at Gemas. Hotel Tropicana saves the day: https://railtravelstation.com/hotel-tropicana-gemas-comfortable-hotel-for-a-short-overnight-transit/
