KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn from Bandar Tasik Selatan to Sungai Gadut by Train

KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn from Bandar Tasik Selatan to Sungai Gadut

KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn is the first train of the day from Bandar Tasik Selatan to Sungai Gadut, originating from Sentul. Arriving from the Suasana Edaran Express from JB Larkin Sentral very early in the morning at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), it was still quite early to visit the new Kajang 2 Railway Station. As such, I decided to joyride on the KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector all the way to Sungai Gadut before returning to KL.

Bandar Tasik Selatan Railway Station

I arrived at Bandar Tasik Selatan Railway Station at 5.30am after resting for slightly more than an hour in TBS, in good time to catch the departing KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn at 6.02am.

However, the station was still closed.

Quite a number of passengers were at the station entrance nearing to 6am.

At 5.58am, the shutters were finally opened, and passengers streamed in to Bandar Tasik Selatan Railway Station. This means that I only have 4 minutes to departure.

Quite a number of passengers headed to the ticket counter to buy tickets. I hope these are all concession passengers, as cash tokens are no longer sold for Adult tickets. Also, the long queue means that passengers who wish to catch the will most likely miss the train, since there is only 4 minutes to departure from station opening time.

Tapping in through the ticket gates quickly.

The southbound platform was closed due to single track operations on the Klang Valley Double Track Electrification (KDVT) rehabilitation project.

Trains depart from the northbound platform on both bounds.

I got down to the platform just in time as the KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn arrived at Bandar Tasik Selatan Railway Station. I hope none of the passengers in the ticket counter queue were going south of Bandar Tasik Selatan, or else they would have just missed the train.

The next train going south to Seremban and Sungai Gadut will depart 53 minutes later at 6.55am, and the next train going onwards to Rembau and Pulau Sebang (Tampin) will depart at a whopping 9 hours and 3 minutes later at 3.05pm.

The KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn departed from on time at 6.02am almost empty.

Or is it that most passengers are still queuing for tickets at the ticket counter?

Sungai Gadut Railway Station

My KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn arrived at Sungai Gadut Railway Station at 7.31am – 4 minutes delayed.

The rare times when Sungai Gadut Railway Station has 2 trains on the elevated island platform.

The KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn continues on to Rembau and Pulau Sebang (Tampin). This is the only train arriving at Rembau and Pulau Sebang (Tampin) in the morning.

The time now is 7.34am and the KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector 2003dn had just departed to Rembau and Pulau Sebang (Tampin). The next train to Rembau and Pulau Sebang (Tampin) will depart at 4.30pm. That’s a 9 hours and 3 minutes gap in service.

From here, I headed back north towards KL while the morning peak 30-minute frequency or so was still in the timetable.
