Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis
Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis is a centrally located hotel in Bandar Baru Kuala Lipis located just opposite Terminal Anggerik Kuala Lipis for buses. For my overnight stay in Kuala Lipis in preparation for my Shuttle Timuran 35dn DMU ride the next morning, I opted to stay at Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis as Bandar Baru Kuala Lipis looks more alive at night than the railway station area, making it easier to get dinner.

The walk-in room rates at Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis as displayed on the front desk. For the Superior Double Room without Window, the walk-in rate is RM105. However, the price I paid on agoda was just RM91.26.
There is a Pahang Sustainability Charge of RM3 per room per night, payable in cash upon arrival.

The Superior Double Room without Window is spacious with ample space for bags and walking.
Facilities are placed in front of the bed.
There is a luggage rack for easy access to your luggage.
Mineral water and coffee are provided on the table by the television.
An electric kettle is also provided.
There is also a side dressing table beside the bed.
Tissues, the TV remote, and a 3-pin power socket is available on the dressing table.
A wardrobe is also provided in the corner of the room.
Ironing facilities are available, placed inside the wardrobe. A Muslim prayer mat is also provided.
Hangers are available inside the wardrobe.
A ceiling fan is provided in the room which helps with cooling the room down fast when used with the air-conditioner.
The toilet is compact and clean.
Both toilet paper and a bidet spray is provided by the toilet bowl.
Toilet and shower amenities are placed in a bowl on the sink.
Towels are provided on the towel rack with Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis branding.
The standing shower has a ledge which is convenient for placing shower amenities on it.
The key card holder doubles up as the breakfast coupon. Breakfast is provided for all rooms at Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis.
Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis Breakfast
Breakfast is served at the café, accessed from outside the hotel along the open corridor.
Breakfast is served buffet style with a rather interesting spread for breakfast. Aside from the usual suspects of fried rice and fried egg for the local palate, Spaghetti Carbonara and French Fries are also served.
There is also pau being served, making this a simple but rather international buffet spread of Malay, Italian, and Chinese.
Coffee, tea, and syrup juice is provided.
Sliced bread and a toaster is also available.

This pasta choice would not fly in Italy with fried egg and pau, but it was reasonably good and filling for an inclusive hotel breakfast. The inclusive breakfast was especially useful for my early start to the day as I needed to check-out early to catch my Shuttle Timuran 35dn DMU train.
Conclusion
Overall, it was a pleasant stay at Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis. The area around Star-Well Hotel Kuala Lipis at night in Bandar Baru Kuala Lipis was reasonably lively with street food and cafes around, the location is strategic just opposite Terminal Anggerik Kuala Lipis for buses, and access to Kuala Lipis Railway Station is nearby with a Kereta Sewa ride.
