Woodlands Checkpoint & Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) closed on Monday, 29 November 2021 morning – Singapore-Malaysia Vaccinated Travel Lane-Land (VTL-Land) Launching Day
Woodlands Checkpoint will be closed on Monday, 29 November 2021 from 10am to 12pm. While no reason has officially been given yet, the checkpoint closure is most likely for an event related to the launch of the Singapore-Malaysia Vaccinated Travel Lane-Land (VTL-Land).
The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore has also announced that Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) in Johor Bahru will be closing the Causeway to cargo vehicles on Monday, 29 November 2021 between 7am to 1pm.
Official Visit to Singapore by Malaysia Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob
Malaysia Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will make an Official Visit to Singapore on 29 November 2021 after jointly witnessing the launch of the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) across the Causeway between Singapore and Malaysia together with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
This is Prime Minister Ismail Sabri’s first Official Visit to Singapore in his capacity as Prime Minister.
Following the launch of the VTL, Prime Minister Ismail Sabri will attend a Welcome Ceremony at the Istana, call on President Halimah Yacob, and meet Prime Minister Lee. Prime Minister Lee will host an official lunch in honour of Prime Minister Ismail Sabri. Prime Minister Ismail Sabri will have a new orchid hybrid named in his honour during a ceremony at the Istana.
Prime Minister Ismail Sabri will be accompanied by Malaysian Senior Minister of International Trade and Industry Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah, Malaysian Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong, Menteri Besar of Johor Dato’ Hasni Mohammad, and senior officials.
Causeway Link announced that 2 Causeway Link VTL Bus services will be retimed “due to Woodlands Checkpoint closure from 10am – 12pm on that day”. Notably, the 9am Causeway Link VTL Bus departure from Larkin Sentral is not affected.
No announcement has been made by Transtar Travel yet for any retimed Transtar Travel VTL Bus services.
