Free KTM Komuter Northern Sector (KTM Komuter Utara) Rides to Butterworth on 4 & 5 May 2024

KTM is offering free KTM Komuter Northern Sector train rides to Butterworth Railway Station for all passengers on 4 and 5 May 2024 in conjunction with the Northern Zone Madani Rakyat programme at Sungai Nibong Fair Grounds in Penang.

This free fare can be enjoyed with all KTM Komuter ticket purchase modes, such as KTM Wallet QR code direct scanning, KTMB Integrated Ticketing System (KITS) ticket purchase, Komuter Link card, Touch ‘n Go card, credit card, and debit card.

The free KTM Komuter Northern Sector train rides on 4 and 5 May 2024 are for a ONE-WAY trip to Butterworth Railway Station only. If you are heading to any other destination station, you are not eligible for free rides. Tickets from Butterworth Railway Station to other destinations are also not eligible for free rides.

For further access to the Northern Zone Madani Rakyat programme at Sungai Nibong Fair Grounds in Penang, there are also free ferry services from Sultan Abdul Halim jetty in Butterworth to Raja Tun Uda jetty on the island, and free shuttle buses will be provided from Raja Tun Uda jetty to Sungai Nibong Fair Grounds.
