Seremban Sentral Railway Station
Seremban Sentral Railway Station is a future major railway station and transit-oriented development (TOD) located in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, in the middle of Seremban town. It will be built on the site of the existing Seremban Railway Station with a larger footprint to accommodate more tracks and facilities within the station surroundings.
The groundbreaking of Seremban Sentral Railway Station was held on 19 January 2024 to be completed within two years. Transport Minister YB Anthony Loke Siew Fook said no extension of time (EOT) would be given for the completion of the high-impact project as the government was giving priority to public transport. The Ministry of Transport (MOT), KTM Berhad, and Railway Assets Corporation (RAC) all wanted to ensure the project was completed on time and the contractor would be able to work round-the-clock. Dhaya Maju LTAT Sdn Bhd has been awarded the project which has to be completed within 24 months (ie. completed by January 2026). YB Anthony Loke, who is Seremban MP, also said that since he would be returning to his constituency often and would personally monitor the progress of the project.
On 8 May 2025, Transport Minister YB Anthony Loke Siew Fook announced that Sunway Group will be developing Seremban Sentral transit-oriented development (TOD) project with construction expected to begin this year (2025). Seremban Sentral TOD will be integrated with the ongoing upgrade of the existing Seremban Railway Station under the Klang Valley Double Track Phase 2 (KVDT2) project, which is scheduled for completion by December 2028. The first phase, covering the development of a medical centre and the Seremban Yard, will begin within 6 months of the agreement signing. The entire development is expected to span 14 years.
