Maju Bus 227 from Larkin to JB Sentral by Bus
Maju Bus Service 227 is a local bus service from Johor Bahru Larkin Sentral to JB Sentral and continuing onwards to Kota Tinggi. To catch my Shuttle Tebrau 75dn back to Singapore, I used Maju Bus Service 227 to travel onwards to Johor Bahru Sentral Railway Station (JB Sentral).
The series of unfortunate bus events since TBS continued in JB Larkin. As I was approaching the Singapore bus area at JB Larkin Sentral, I saw a Causeway Link CWL bus departing in front of me. With the next bus in 20 minutes or so, I checked Google Maps for the traffic situation on the Causeway, and decided that I should just cross back to Singapore via Shuttle Tebrau 75dn instead of waiting for the next Causeway Link CWL bus and getting stuck in the Causeway jam.
Heading back to the local bus area of Larkin Sentral, which is the same as the express bus arrival berths.
The waiting Maju Bus Service 227 at Larkin Sentral.
I asked a roving staff on the platform about what time the bus was departing, but he wasn’t sure as the driver had gone off. He did advise me that there was going to be a 9.30am departure for the new myBAS Johor Bahru T13 though, but this new (and longer) route would not get me in time to JB Sentral for my Shuttle Tebrau 75dn train.
The Maju Bus 227 doors were opened at 9.20am which was perfect for me. I was going to call for a Grab shortly but Maju saves the day.
Reversing out from the berth after all waiting passengers had paid their fare.
The Maju Bus 227 bus fare from Larkin to JB Sentral now costs RM2. No tickets are issued.
Not many passengers boarded, but the bus departed anyway. This was great as the Maju Bus 227 was actually following a schedule instead of waiting for the bus to get full.
