If you take a look at the Klang Valley Rail Transit Map, there is a missing link between Putrajaya and Puchong despite being geographically reasonably close to each other. Instead of backtracking to Bandar Tasik Selatan, there is a cheaper and faster way by bus, serving this missing link.

Tap out of the station and turn right to the bus terminal.
Head down the first staircase for local intra-city buses. If you head straight to the further staircase, it leads to the express bus terminal.
RapidKL Service 506 departs from Putrajaya Sentral every 30 to 60 minutes. I’ll be heading only to Puchong on this journey.
Waiting for the bus driver to allow us to board.
It’s a comfortable ride to Puchong on this bus with reclining seats and headrest. I paid just RM0.80 with Touch ‘n Go, which would otherwise cost me RM1.00 by cash. If you’re heading for the full route to One Utama, it will cost RM2.40 by Touch ‘n Go and RM3.00 by cash.
Heading onto the Damansara – Puchong Highway (LDP).
The bus passes by Taman Perindustrian Puchong LRT Station on the Sri Petaling Line, but does not stop here as there are no bus stops on the main road.
The bus makes its first stop at Tesco Extra Puchong which is located adjacent to Pusat Bandar Puchong LRT Station. The journey from Putrajaya Sentral to Tesco Puchong took just 12 minutes without any traffic jams.
From here, you can continue your journey onwards by the LRT Sri Petaling Line.
