From the Chuo-Sobu Line platforms, I headed up to the Musashino Line platforms to hopefully catch a glimpse of, and if time permitted, to get a ride on the rare Musashino Line 205 Series still in active service before they get shipped off to Indonesia to be spammed and lengthened on the Kereta Commuter Indonesia instead.
The first Musashino Line train that I saw up at the platform was an E231 series EMU. Nope, definitely going to skip that.
However, almost immediately after that, the next incoming Musashino Line train that I spotted was a 205 Series bound for Tokyo. That was convenient, though I’m standing on the wrong platform.
A quick run down the Fuchuhommachi-bound platform and up the Tokyo-bound platform, I managed to get on the Musashino Line 205 Series just in time to head back to Tokyo on the Keiyo Line, killing two birds with one stone.

クハ204-5 (Kuha 204-5). Going to try to get on this in Indonesia again if possible, provided it doesn’t become the Kereta Wanita.

The strangely-familiar interior of the Musashino Line 205 Series despite this being my first time on a non-resold original JR 205 Series, in Japan or otherwise.
The familiar priority area on board too.
The Kawasaki Heavy Industries builder plate on board the Musashino Line 205 Series, which PT KCI would remove.
The No Smoking sign on board the Musashino Line 205 Series, which PT KCI would remove.
The car number plate and car identification sticker, which PT KCI may remove. Hopefully they still keep the car identification sticker.

I wonder, if I see this view in Jakarta again in Car 8 for an 8-car formation, will I be arrested for trespass?

Making a brief stop at Maihama for Tokyo Disney Resort.
Quite a busy station here, with lots of passengers alighting and boarding.
The slight more crowded interior of the Musashino Line 205 Series after Maihama.
At Tokyo Station, not all passengers disembarked as there were a few bouncers heading back up the line. I guess all commuters in every country are the same near terminals.

The JR logo by the side of the Musashino Line 205 Series, probably the first sticker to be torn off once delivery to Jakarta is confirmed.

The next time I see this train, it would have very different signs.
A last look at the Musashino Line stripes on the Musashino Line 205 Series before PT KCI’s annoying efficiency paints it over in their corporate colours.
Waiting for the Musashino Line 205 Series to depart.
Hopefully I can get a similar shot of the same Musashino Line 205 Series car number in Jakarta in the near future.
See you soon in Jakarta Kota, Musashino Line 205 Series.
Heading out of the Musashino Line and Keiyo Line platforms.
Continuing up to the passageway from the concourse level.
Heading on the famous long walk from the Keiyo Line platforms to the main Tokyo Station.
Overall, a great ride on the Musashino Line 205 Series, not only to take it in Japan before its departure to Jakarta, but also to catch all the way into Tokyo Station. Doing a great job in Japan so far, and I hope you will do better in Jakarta in the near future.
