Mutiara Rentas Desa Pasir Mas Bus Terminal for Mutiara Rentas Desa Bus Service 6
Mutiara Rentas Desa is a new public bus operator in Kelantan from Konsortium E-Mutiara Berhad to replace the defunct Cityliner. 1 public bus route has been recently reinstated for Pasir Mas since 1 February 2022 – Bus Service 6 plying between Kota Bharu and Pasir Mas via Salor.
On this short visit to Pasir Mas, I had wanted to find the boarding point in Pasir Mas for Mutiara Rentas Desa Bus Service 6.

I walked towards the SKMK Bus Station thinking if Mutiara Rentas Desa might be operating from there now.
A banner hung on the closed gate to the SKMK Bus Station labels the area as the bus stop for Mutiara Rentas Desa. Well, that was an easy recee. Mission accomplished.
The original sign of the SKMK Bus Station is still around, popping up behind the zinc walls.
The now-shuttered main gate to the SKMK Bus Station. Sad to see a once-lively terminal connected to various towns in Kelantan now pretty much abandoned without a use since there are almost no buses.
Only 1 bus remains, or rather, reinstated, as there was a period of time with no bus services at all. Pasir Mas is once again connected by a bus service to Kota Bharu with Mutiara Rentas Desa Bus Service 6, the state capital and royal seat of Kelantan.
The interior of the bus operating on Mutiara Rentas Desa Bus Service 6. The local bus is a very comfortable coach and I was able to take this photo and enquire on the fare to Kota Bharu with the friendly driver.

Mutiara Rentas Desa Bus Service 6 Fares
The bus fare on Mutiara Rentas Desa Bus Service 6 from Pasir Mas to Kota Bharu costs RM3, payable directly to the driver.
The red service signs in front of the Mutiara Rentas Desa Bus Service 6 bus are red in colour, which are Mutiara Rentas Desa’s corporate colours, but also reminiscent of Cityliner. RIP.
The “Hentian Bas Mutiara Rentas Desa” banner tied to the gate is also in front of Uptown Kota Iskandariah Bandar Pasir Mas. The Mutiara Rentas Desa Bus Service 6 is supposed to stop in front of the banner, assuming there are no other cars parked along the street.
This also means that there is no proper place for to stop at other than along the road. There are also no proper facilities like toilets for the driver to use while on his break here.
Unfortunately, my stop in Pasir Mas was merely for transit and research, and I wasn’t going to Kota Bharu on this trip. Nevertheless, I would try to factor in some time for some Mutiara Rentas Desa bus joyrides if I were to stay over at Kota Bharu next time.
