SG Arrival Card Health Declaration No Longer Required for Vaccinated Singapore Residents and Long-Term Pass Holders Using Woodlands & Tuas Land Checkpoints
From Friday, 15 April 2022, fully vaccinated Singaporeans, Singaporean permanent residents (PRs), and Singaporean long-term pass holders will not need to fill up the SG Arrival Card when travelling to Singapore via land checkpoints (ie. JB to Woodlands or Tanjung Kupang to Tuas).
The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore mentioned on Wednesday, 13 April 2022 that this is due to the “volume of traffic” at land checkpoints and “to provide greater convenience for fully vaccinated Singapore residents and LTP holders arriving via these checkpoints, in particular those who commute across the border daily for employment and studies”.
Vaccination and travel history conditions must be met to enjoy this waiver, which are:
Vaccination | Conditions |
Vaccinated in Singapore | i) Must not have travel history to any country/region in the Restricted Category in the past seven days[2] ii) Their vaccination status must be reflected in the TraceTogether and/or HealthHub apps |
Vaccinated outside of Singapore | i) Must not have travel history to any country/region in the Restricted Category in the past seven days
ii) Their vaccination record must be transmitted to MOH’s system upon their first entry[3]: |
Table from Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
The SG Arrival Card when travelling to Singapore via land borders was the only additional requirement for vaccinated Singaporeans, Singapore PRs, and Long-Term Pass Holders with the reopening of land borders on 1 April 2022. With the removal of the SG Arrival Card requirement for vaccinated Singaporeans, Singapore PRs, and Long-Term Pass Holders, travel to Singapore is back to pre-COVID days for for vaccinated Singaporeans, Singapore PRs, and Long-Term Pass Holders.
This removal of the SG Arrival Card requirement for vaccinated Singaporeans, Singapore PRs, and Long-Term Pass Holders is for entry to Singapore via land checkpoints only. All travellers to Singapore arriving via air or sea checkpoints will have to continue to fill up the SG Arrival Card, even if the flight or vessel is from Malaysia.
Hurrah for the locals. Still a miserable slog for Aussie tourists contemplating a day trip to JB.
More money for Singapore I guess.
Here’s a question no one has an answer for ( to date ). What happens if you have no access to a PC and don’t own a smart phone ( with the level of OS required ) ?
