All VTL travellers entering Singapore on both air and land vaccinated travel lanes (VTL) will be put on a daily COVID-19 testing regime over 7 days using antigen rapid tests (ARTs) from 11.59pm on 6 December 2021. Alongside the previously announced Days 3 and 7 tests at a combined test centre (CTC) or quick test centre (QTC), this means 4 new tests on Days 2, 4, 5, and 6.
This new enhanced protocol will also apply to travellers arriving from Malaysia by bus via the land VTL from 11.59pm on 6 December 2021.
The Days 2, 4, 5, and 6 ART tests are all self-administered using an ART kit they had purchased in Singapore. Do not buy an RTK kit in Malaysia for these Singapore tests. All ART results must be submitted online via a link provided in the testing notice. Travellers may only leave their accommodations and continue with their activities if they are tested ART negative.
As a recap, the new Days 3 and 7 ART tests from 3 December 2021 are done at a combined test centre (CTC) or quick test centre (QTC). Details here.
Here’s a summary of the COVID-19 7-day testing schedule in Singapore for all VTL travellers:
During this 7-day period upon arrival in Singapore, other than Days 3 and 7 when going out for the supervised tests, VTL travellers must test negative on their self-administered ART before going out for activities on that day.
This new enhanced protocol will also apply to travellers arriving from Malaysia via the land VTL (-Malaysia-Singapore VTL Bus) from 11.59pm on 6 December 2021.
These tighter measures are in response to the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
