KL TBS Shower Room (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan)
Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) is the main long-distance bus terminal in Kuala Lumpur, despite its name reflecting it for southern routes. Before or after a long bus trip, you may be wanting a shower. Tucked away in the new Rest & Go Transit Hotel is a shower room available for RM10.
TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel
TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel is located on Level 4, Lot 4-11, near KFC and Subway.
The walk-in price list of TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel is displayed on the standing boards in front of the hotel.
A shower costs RM10 at TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel.
If you have a longer transit in TBS when changing buses, or have an early morning arrival before the first train in to KL, or a late night departure and arrived at TBS too early, you may also wish to consider the 2-hour single capsule for RM30 which will also get you a bed to rest, subject to availability.
Payment is made directly at the front desk of TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel.
Payment was fuss-free, and I was given a rental towel in exchange for my RM10.
TBS Shower Room
The TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel shower room is located inside the unit past the capsules.
There are 3 shower cubicles in the shower room. Do note that there are NO toilet facilities. Toilets are available in the public areas of TBS.
The shower cubicle is very small with no space for bags. Luckily, the shower room was not busy and I left my bag outside the shower cubicle while I was showering. Only essentials such as a towel and a change of clothes should be brought in.
No soap is provided in the shower room, so bring your own. There was a cubicle on the left with a soap dispenser, but it felt empty and I couldn’t figure out how to press it as there were no buttons.
The water heater also felt like it wasn’t working, but as it had been a very warm day in KL, the cold shower was a welcome respite.
Conclusion
The shower room at TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel is a welcome addition to facilities at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan Kuala Lumpur. However, as a single user, this needed a bit of fumbling about as there was no space for bags in the shower cubicle itself, and I had to leave it unattended on the shower room floor. The shower room at TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel is best used when travelling in a group of 2 or more, as 1 person could look after the bags outside TBS Rest & Go Transit Hotel while the other showers, to take turns looking after the bags.
