The Ekspres Rakyat Timuran is a daily service plying the length of Peninsular Malaysia on the East Coast Line, or sometimes known as the Jungle Railway. Here’s the train standing by for service at Tumpat.
Once the Ekspres Rakyat Timuran train is ready for passengers, it will be shunted to the main platform for boarding.

The train passes through the usual East Coast stations, but I was eating my Nasi Kerabu bought at the bazaar in the previous picture, so no shots of those stations. They all look almost the same at night though. Here’s a shot of the train departing Pasir Mas.

Since I was well awake, I decided to get the seat configuration out in the ADNS once again so I can stretch out in a proper seated position.

The Ekspres Rakyat Timuran arrived at JB Sentral on time.
Since it will be a 2.5 hour layover for the next Shuttle Tebrau, I made my way back to Singapore by bus.
