Kluang-KL Sentral ETS Train Launching on 30 August 2025 with ETS3
Rail passengers in northern Johor will enjoy faster and more direct travel options as KTM Berhad introduces a new Electric Train Service (ETS) connecting Kluang and KL Sentral from 30 August 2025. This long-awaited ETS extension places Kluang, Paloh, Bekok, and Labis on Malaysia’s electrified train network, cutting journey times to and from Kuala Lumpur and offering passengers greater comfort, speed, and convenience by using the brand new KTM 94 Class EMU (ETS3).
First ETS Link for Kluang, Paloh, Bekok & Labis
The launch marks the first time Kluang, Paloh, Bekok, and Labis is directly served by the ETS, following KTMB’s gradual extension of electrified double-tracking projects further south into Johor. Previously, commuters from Kluang, Paloh, Bekok, and Labis only had KTM Intercity services, and had to change trains at Gemas to continue on to KL Sentral, half the time with a long transfer.
With the new ETS Platinum train, travellers from Kluang can reach Kuala Lumpur Sentral directly in approximately 3.5 hours.
The Kluang-Kuala Lumpur ETS Platinum will stop at all stations along the new extension, including:

The King of Malaysia Officiates Launch Of KTM Electric Train Service 94 Class EMU (ETS3), Personally Drives from KL to Kluang
His Majesty the King of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim, had officiated the KTM 94 Class EMU (ETS3), train service extension to Kluang Railway Station, and Laman Rel Mahkota park on 23 August 2025.
