Gemas Railway Station

Gemas Railway Station is a multi-platform railway hub located Gemas, Negeri Sembilan, in the middle of Gemas town. The total footprint of the station including tracks and signals part of the station straddles across the state border from Gemas, Negeri Sembilan, and Gemas, Johor.

As the main junction station in Peninsular Malaysia, Gemas Railway Station offers an interchange between all main train lines, with ETS Gold serving the Central Line and Northern Line, Ekspres Rakyat Timuran serving the East Coast Line and Southern Line, and Ekspres Selatan serving the Southern Line.

Ticket counters are available on the first floor (1 level up from the ground floor), with a waiting area in front of it. The boarding gate is beside the ticket counter, usually opened around 15 minutes prior to the train’s departure time.

There is a mamak operating out of the old Gemas Railway Station, 1 minute away from the current Gemas Railway Station.

There is a KFC store located opposite the old Gemas Railway Station, 2 minutes away from the current Gemas Railway Station.

The popular Restoran Nasi Ayam Gemas Mustafah is located 5 minutes away from the current Gemas Railway Station, beside the Gemas Bus & Taxi Station.

Gemas Bus & Taxi Station is located 5 minutes by foot away from Gemas Railway Station, serving local buses.

Southern Bus Service 26 plies between Gemas and Tampin via Gemencheh, departing from Gemas Bus & Taxi Station.

Express Bus

Few express buses run to key destinations in Johor and Kelantan, departing from Gemas Transnasional Station, 2 minutes by foot away from Gemas Railway Station

Taxi

There may be kereta sewa waiting outside the station when a train arrives.

Grab

Grab is not available in Gemas.

Alternative Train Travel Options

There are local public bus services linking some railway stations on the JB Sentral-Pulau Sebang (Tampin) sector. You can avoid using the infrequent train schedule by taking a bus instead. In some instances, this will be cheaper and faster.
