KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector & ETS Disruption (26 August 2023)

The KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector and ETS Gold services to and from Gemas is currently disrupted between Serdang and Salak Selatan due to a derailment of an engineering train of the KVDT 1 project at KM396.52 between Salak Selatan and Bandar Tasik Selatan. Shuttle buses are provided for passengers travelling through the affected sector.

Train services have recovered at 5pm, 26 August 2023.

KTM Komuter Shuttle Bus

A KTM Komuter Shuttle Bus is available, plying the SerdangBandar Tasik SelatanSalak Selatan route.

The KTM Komuter Klang Valley Sector Batu Caves-Pulau Sebang (Tampin) Line is now split into 2 sectors of Batu CavesSalak Selatan and SerdangKajang/Bangi/Sungai Gadut/Pulau Sebang (Tampin), with the KTM Komuter Shuttle Bus covering the SerdangBandar Tasik SelatanSalak Selatan missing link.

As the KTM Komuter Shuttle Bus is expected to travel slower than the train timetable, you are also expected to miss the same train number when transferring between sectors. Trains are expected to follow the existing train timetable at unaffected stations, and not the KTM Komuter Shuttle Bus.

Expect to add 1 to 13 hours of additional travel time especially if travelling to and from Sungai Gadut and Pulau Sebang (Tampin), or alternative transport if travelling to Pulau Sebang (Tampin), since a missed train to Pulau Sebang (Tampin) may result in waiting for the next train in around 4 to 13 hours.

Train services have recovered at 5pm, 26 August 2023.

ETS Gold Shuttle Bus

An ETS Gold Shuttle Bus service is available for the GemasButterworth/Padang Besar ETS Gold train service, plying the KL SentralKajang route. The ETS Gold Shuttle Bus does not serve Bandar Tasik Selatan.

Passengers departing from Bandar Tasik Selatan should proceed to the next available station on your own to minimise any risk of missing your ETS Gold train, especially if required to use the KTM Komuter Shuttle Bus and KTM Komuter train service instead. (If heading towards Gemas, proceed to Kajang. If heading towards Butterworth/Padang Besar, proceed to KL Sentral.

While the ETS Gold Shuttle Bus is expected to travel slower than the train timetable, the connecting ETS Gold train would most likely wait for you, since it is a scheduled train ticket. However, onward connections from the connecting ETS Gold train would most likely not be guaranteed, especially if there are major delays to the ETS Gold Shuttle Bus.

Train services have recovered at 5pm, 26 August 2023.
