KTM running Xpress Kenali Penang (XKP) KL-Butterworth-KL on 27 to 29 July 2024
KTM Berhad will be running the Xpress Kenali Penang (XKP) from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth and back on 27 and 29 July 2024 respectively. This is a direct charter train using KTM Intercity coaches and locomotive, with all passengers boarding in Kuala Lumpur and alighting in Butterworth, and vice-versa on the return trip. A first for regular ticket bookings, the Penang Ferry ticket to Penang Island is included in the cost of the ticket, in the direction of travel booked.
Xpress Kenali Penang (XKP) will open for booking on 19 July 2024 at 10am on the KTMB Integrated Ticketing System (KITS).
IMPORTANT: The Xpress Kenali Penang (XKP) does not serve KL Sentral.

Originally Ekspres Koc Basikal (XKB)
It should be noted that the original train running from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth and back on 27 and 29 July 2024 respectively is the Ekspres Koc Basikal (XKB) for the Penang Fellowship Ride (Bridge to Bridge 2024) which will be held on 28 Julai 2024. This rebranded Xpress Kenali Penang (XKP) is most likely to fill up the empty seats on the original Ekspres Koc Basikal (XKB).
