Genting Dream Boarding at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore

Genting Dream departs from Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore located in the city and is accessible by many MRT lines including the new Thomson-East Coast Line via Gardens by the Bay MRT Station and Bus 400. My last cruise check-in procedure was last year with additional health measures in place, so this is an update on what to expect in today’s endemic new new normal era.

No more spaced-out queues for COVID tests, walk straight in to the terminal to check-in.
Security Screening

Head directly through security screening. It’s a fuss-free procedure now.

Ground staff at the start of the queue will hand out boarding slips for your boarding group to be called.
Check-in

Check-in is done at counters after security screening. Thereafter, you will be directed upstairs to wait for your boarding group to be called.

You will get your cabin key from the check-in counter. No more tracing devices needed.
Singapore Immigration

Once your boarding group is called, head downstairs for Singapore exit immigration. Queues for immigration were short thanks to the spaced-out boarding, though waiting would be done seated in boarding groups before this.

Once done with Singapore immigration, Genting Dream can be seen just beside.
Passport Collection

As this is now a cruise to somewhere as international borders have more or less reopened, passports are collected by Resorts World Cruises to facilitate immigration clearance at ports of call.

Follow the sign according to your nationality or travel class.

Passport collection is done on the gangway before boarding the ship proper.

The ship crew check passport details against the cabin card before keeping the passport throughout the cruise.
Boarding

Once your passport has been handed over, proceed to board the ship.
Assembly Station

Once on board, proceed to your assembly station first for a safety briefing.

Tapping in to the Genting Dream.

Another scan will be done at your assigned assembly station. These are usually located near to your stateroom vertically, around where the lifeboats are.
Following these procedures, you are free to go and enjoy your cruise. Head to your stateroom to leave your bags first or head to a restaurant immediately to best the crowds.
