SBS Transit Bus 400 from Marina Bay Cruise Centre to Downtown MRT Station by Bus

SBS Transit Bus Service 400

SBS Transit Bus Service 400 is a dedicated bus route looping at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore, serving the Marina South and Marina Coastal area from Shenton Way. After my cruise to nowhere on board the World Dream, I decided to head out of Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore using SBS Transit Bus Service 400.

Boarding Bus 400 at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore

From the Arrival Hall, the Public Bus bay is located across the road on the same floor.

The bus bay for SBS Transit Bus Service 400 at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore is well signposted.

However, upon double-checking on the SG BusLeh app, the next SBS Transit Bus Service 400 was running late. Zzz.

SBS Transit Bus Service 400 has 2 looping points, 1 in Marina South at Marina Barrage and the second one here in the Marina Coastal area at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore. On this return leg back to Shenton Way Bus Terminal, SBS Transit Bus Service 400 offers quick and easy MRT connections to the North South Line, Circle Line, Downtown Line, and East West Line.

Sheltered Walkway from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore to Marina South Pier MRT Station

Marina South Pier MRT Station on the North South Line is approximately 8 minutes away by foot from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore. Personally I wouldn’t walk this path with my luggage after a relaxing cruise.

Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore Taxi Stand (and Surcharge)

There’s also a taxi stand with waiting taxis at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore. Do note that there is an additional Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore pick-up surcharge of S$5 from 7.00am to 10.59am and S$3 at all other times.

(There’s no surcharge for a Grab by the way.)

A long 12 minutes of waiting later and my SBS Transit Bus Service 400 finally showed up. Maybe I should have walked to Marina South Pier MRT Station after all?

Boarding the MAN A95 at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.

This “underground” bus bay boarding gives me a bit of the Hong Kong feel.

Here’s the number of bus stops from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore to each MRT station served:

  • Marina South Pier MRT Station: 1 bus stop
  • Marina Bay MRT Station: 3 bus stops
  • Downtown MRT Station: 4 bus stops
  • Tanjong Pagar MRT Station: 6 bus stops

Unfortunately, this short leisure shuttle is in Singapore and not Hong Kong so the interior is pretty basic for passengers with luggage.

Where’s my headrest and luggage rack?

I guess I have to make do with this space storing luggage on the bus journey.

The ride from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore to Downtown MRT Station takes around 6 minutes.

Alighting from Bus 400 at Downtown MRT Station

From here, I transferred to the Downtown Line to continue my journey home. SBS Transit Bus Service 400 continues on along Shenton Way and terminates at Shenton Way Bus Terminal.
