World Dream The Palace

World Dream Super Seacation Cruise To Nowhere

The Palace on the World Dream is a separate premium section at the top of the cruise ship touted by Dream Cruises as a “luxury ship-within-a-ship” concept. The Palace residents get to enjoy this exclusive section with their own premium lounge, restaurant, casino, and inclusive dining options at specialty restaurants which are otherwise chargeable, along with a 24-hour butler service.

I got to tour around The Palace on my cruise, and got to try out their afternoon tea at the restaurant too.

Genting Club

The Genting Club is The Palace residents’ private casino with a higher limit than those in the regular Resorts World at Sea.

Palace Suite

The Palace Suite is the most common room category of The Palace.

The Palace Suites come with a queen-sized bed with finer linens than regular cabins.

There’s also a double sofa bed in the Palace Suite.

There is a face-to-face working and dressing table, each facing the main room and bathroom respectively.

A walk-in wardrobe is outside the bathroom.

The toilet in the Palace Suite.

A bathtub is available inside the bathroom.

There is also a separate standing shower, as compared to the usual combined shower-and-tub in hotels and other regular staterooms.

Palace Villa

The main star of the show in The Palace is definitely the Palace Villa.

The centerpiece of the Palace Villa is the grand piano. This can be set to auto-play tunes if you don’t play the piano.

This is followed by the dining table and bar. While the occupancy for the Palace Villa is 6, there are 8 chairs around the dining table.

Yup, unlike the minibar common in most hotel rooms, the Palace Villa has an actual bar.

The Palace Villa has a commanding forward view from the top of the ship, 2 decks above the bridge.

The living room is to the right of the main entrance.

The guest bedroom in the Palace Villa features a queen sized bed.

The living area in the guest bedroom also features the forward view.

The guest bathroom comes with a standing shower.

The Palace stateroom amenities are from Etro.

Heading to the main master bedroom, the corridor doubles up as a walk-through wardrobe.

The master bedroom bathroom greets me along the corridor with this stylish bathtub.

Lots of gold stuff along the sink.

Gold stuff are also in the toilet area.

The master bedroom comes with a king-sized bed, the biggest on board the World Dream.

Outside the master bedroom, there is a private sauna and jacuzzi.

The Palace Villa continues on Deck 19 with a private terrace looking out the front corner of the ship.

Palace Pool & Sun Deck

Up on the Palace Pool & Sun Deck, there are 2 jacuzzies and chairs for sunbathing facing the front of the ship.

A private swimming pool for the exclusive use of The Palace residents is also available.

Palace Spa

For The Palace residents not in the Palace Villa, the Palace Spa offers the sauna and steam room.

The sauna has a brilliant ocean view while you heat up.

There is also a shower in the Palace Spa to use after your sauna or steam room session.

Conclusion

Overall, a very impressive premium area on board the World Dream. I’ve also paid for an upgrade on my second cruise to The Palace for the full experience. Click on the links to explore more of The Palace on board the World Dream!
